Thanks for the comment! I didn't realize anyone had been reading those old posts about the Buffy episodes, but I appreciate your feedback. I'm sure that particularly episode must have been very difficult to watch when one has struggled with mental illness. All the best to you!

(In case you do see this, and twice at that, sorry, wasn't sure if it worked the first time through.)

Ok, this is going to be decidedly random, and on an old post no less. But I wanted to thank you for your write up of the Buffy episode 'Normal Again.' As someone who struggles with Scizophrenia, that ending to the episode was pretty hard to take. Your write up helped sort out the jumbled mess that made of my thoughts. So, thank you.

I also find I agree with you about needing more women in power and James Marsters being delicious. :)

Dunno that you'll ever see this, but hey.

"...I’ve long suspected that meditation is a natural state that we practice unconsciously as children, but tend to forget as we grow older."

That is pure wisdom!

My father had this habit of yanking me out of that state but then, he was an obsessive doer...

Hello, I just tapped in "fear of standing still". I have been suffering from labryntitis for the last 13 weeks. I have gone from an active, independent, joyful woman to something akin to a cloistered nun. I can't leave the house without someone to accompany me. The loss of freedom is affecting me greatly although I keep this a secret from my nearest and dearest. I don't know how I would feel if I was experiencing this like you from an early age. Your piece sounded like an introduction to a book. You write beautifully. I will try to let go, let this 'thing' pass over me as you recommend. Is it a pride thing? The dread of passing out or fainting in public? Yes I am gulty of pride! Will let you know how I get on. Thank you again.
